Reliance has started Jio 18 months back with free internet for almost 6 months. After that, it started paid services for the customers with special offers and very cheap data packs compared to any other telecom company in India. Along with the telecom services, Jio also launched their lyf smartphones, JioFi, and recently Jio feature phone. Now after all this Jio is going to launch Jio laptops with 4G connectivity to increase its average revenue per user.
Reliance Jio is in talks with chip making company Qualcomm to manufacture the laptops that connect to the internet with the help of 4G connectivity that run on Window 10 OS. The company is already working with Qualcomm for Jio feature phones.
Jio will be collaborating with the US-based chipset maker Qualcomm to manufacture exclusive Jio branded laptops.The Jio laptops will come with built-in cellular connectivity from Reliance Jio. The devices will support 4G connectivity, which means users don’t need to depend on wi-fi or any outside source of connectivity for connecting to the internet.
The Jio laptops will come with Qualcomm chipset inside and will run Windows 10 out of the box. With the integration of AI-based Cortana and latest features, Windows 10 laptops have outperformed some of the fastest running laptops and operating systems.
The Jio laptop will come bundled with data and special packages. Reliance Jio will offer different tariff plans with Jio laptops, and the device will come with bundled data offers. The Jio laptop plans will offer both calling and data benefits.
