First Bike in India With Reverse Gear Launched

                     

                 

     The bike maker giant from Japan has commenced through its Indian unit in which deals about the deliveries the flagship 2018 Honda Gold Wing touring motorcycle in India. Honda Gold Wing is priced at Rs 26.85 lakh (Ex-Delhi) and is the country's only bike that comes with a reverse gear. A total of 3 units of this motorcycle were delivered in Kochi. The Gold Wing made its first India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo and also features Apple Car Play integration. There are several unique things to know about 2018 Honda Gold Wing.The major features are explained as follws. 

     The new 2018 Gold Wings continues to get horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine. The engine has a displacement of 1833cc with a power of 93 hp and 170 Nm of torque. The new engine also features aluminium cylinder sleeves and a shorter, stiffer crank. The engine is mated to a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and is also the first motorcycle from Honda to get a wishbone front suspension.

     The Honda Gold Wing does not get a gear lever or a clutch. The gear shifts are controlled by buttons on the handle bar and always have the chance to let DCT function fully automatically, and the bike will upshift and downshift on its own. Honda says that the DCT technology has been a very successful on its bike, even the Honda Africa Twin adventure motorcycle gets the same transmission. Bikes equipped with DCT offers a special low-speed “Walking” mode in addition to reverse.

     The new 2018 Honda Gold Wing is also the first motorcycle to get Apple Car Play integration. The motorcycle gets a 7-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment that can be connected to your Apple iPhone and access Apple Maps, Apple Music and other services. It also gets a smart audio system with a Bluetooth headset that allows you to answer phone calls without taking off your helmet. It also features a USB port. The other top key features include Cruise control, electric windscreen adjustable for angle and height and Smart key control, which adds convenience for ignition and luggage.

Electric Vehicle Buyers will Get Cash Incentive from Goverment

     Indian government has allotted rupees 9,400 crore for promoting the zero emission pure electric mobility programme in India. The taxi operators or bus aggregators in the country who will buy electric vehicles will receive cash incentive up to rupees 2.5 lakh for the vehicles which costs up to rupees 15 lakh. The electric two wheeler buyers will receive cash benefit of around rupees 30000 for the model that cost up to rupees 1.5 lakh.

     These cash incentives will come when the customers will scrap their old conventional fuel powered vehicle and buy new eco-friendly vehicles. The government expect that this will energize the sales of the electric vehicle with this new cash incentive package. Along with the commercial vehicle aggregators, personal vehicle buyers also will receive the cash incentive given they scrap their pre-BS III vehicles and choose electric or hybrid vehicles.

     The cash incentive package for the passenger vehicle and two-wheelers will claim round rupees 1,500 crore over the next five years. The government is trying to set up the charging infrastructure for the electric vehicles across India. Around rupees 1,000 crore will be spent for setting up electric vehicle charging stations across the country.

    

     As per the programme Indian government is planning to set up at least one EV charging station in every 9 square kilometer. The busiest and major highways across India will get EV charging stations in every 25 kilometre. So far, the wide network of the EV charging stations planned to be set up across the country is expected to majorly resolve the hurdle for the development of electric mobility in India.

Auto Expo 2018 Dates Announced - Good Chance For Enthusiasts

     

          The biggest sensation in the Indian automobile industry is the auto expo conducted in the country yearly. As a part of this the upcoming event has announced and which may empower the automotive industry in India. The latest edition of auto expo 2018 has been scheduled for February 9 to 14 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida of U.P.

Toyota Has Launched The Etios Cross X Edition

      The car maker giant in the world Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Etios Cross X Edition with a starting price of Rs 6.80 lakh, ex showroom at Kolkata for the G trim based petrol engine version. The Etios is also available in the V trim based diesel option for Rs 8.23 lakh, ex showroom at Kolkata. The car has officially planned to launch in some parts of India while the all India launch has been scheduled for the next week.

The different variants of the new Toyota Etios Cross X gets cosmetic as well as feature updates and costs around Rs 33,000 over and above their different trims.

The new edition also equipped with a new quartz brown paint, black front grille and fog lamp bezels. 

   The 'X-Edition' badges and body colored cladding. The interior updates include a carbon fiber finish to the instrument panel and new dual tone in the upholstery system. The car also has a 6.8 inch touch screen infotainment system with mobile compatibility and a fine reverse parking camera.

     If we look in to the engine side there is no mechanical change in the car as compared to the previous model and the Etios Cross X continues to run on the same engine features as the earlier variants. The petrol version gets the 80PS Power and104Nm torque, 1.2-litre engine with a 5 speed manual and claims to return a fuel efficiency of 17.71kmpl. The diesel variant offers 68PS/170Nm from a 1.4-litre oil burner and claims 23.59kmpl.

     The new model has standard safety features of the model are dual front SRS airbags, ABS with EBD and front seat belt with pre tensioner and force limiter.

    

     The Toyota Etios Cross competes with the similar variants of the model like Hyundai i20 Active, Volkswagen Cross Polo and the Honda WR-V.

Ducatii Super Sport India May Launch On September 22

     The big giant in motor cycle industry Ducati India has announced the launch of its their Super Sport bike on September 22. Along with this announcement the company has already started taking bookings for the upcoming model and deliveries may begin soon after the official launching of the bike.

     The new model may have two variants named as the standard and SuperSport S. Both the models are expected to hit the Indian market and become a good competitor to its similar models. As per the reports the average price of the model  will be starting from  around 11.5 lakhs. Reports says thst the new model of Ducati may not be a super sport motorcycle like the Panigale or BMW S 1000 RR. But it is expected that the new model is a daily superbike with a bit of a relaxed riding posture.

    

     Powering the motorcycle is the same 937cc engine with Testastretta L-Twin which also propels the Multistrada 950 and the Hypermotard 939. It has a six speed transmission, the motor provIdes a power of 110 PS and it  delivers a peak torque of 93 nm. The peak torque kicks in at 6500 rpm. The Super Sport S also provides the same relaxed state of tuning as users expecting. The bike also have some advanced features which includes a quick shifter which allows aggressive gearshifts.

     In the new model of Ducati there may have three riding modes in both the standard and SuperSport S variants . One of which limits power output down to as much as 75 PS and the ride by wire promises an instant throttle response to the rider. The other major features include fully adjustable suspension setup, high-performance Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres and brakes with Brembo M4 32 monoblock callipers, Bosch 9 MP ABS and the Ducati Traction Control by the company itself.

The New Honda Jazz Will Launch Soon

     The new version sporty car from the carmaker Honda is ready for its launch soon. The new Honda Jazz updated version will be officially presented in the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.  The car will be presented with a brand new Sporty look and Dynamic grades with a new 1.5-litre, 130 PS petrol engine option. The bookings for the new model are expected to start from November in Europe. The details about the booking in India are not declared yet. The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show is scheduled from September 14.

     The exterior changes made in the new Jazz look stunning as the latest Honda family style. It holds the special Solid Wing Face headlight signature and grille. The front bumper is sharply sculpted. In the rear side of the vehicle a shallower grille sections are linked by a glossy black trim strip above a trapezoid lower section. The exterior of the Honda Jazz is decorated in a metallic Skyride Blue as a new color option.

     As per the reports the new Jazz will be available with a 1.5 litre, 130PS i-VTEC petrol engine option at the time of release. The new motor will be offered only with the Sport and the Dynamic trims, while rest of the variants will continue with the current options including the features like 1.3-litre, 102 PS petrol. The new 130PS motor provided with stringent the emission standards and claims a fuel economy of 22.2 kmpl with the optional CVT automatic transmission. The CVT system has also been revised to deliver a more linear and refined response under acceleration.

    The new dynamic grade provides a thinner front splitter beneath the lower grille, and triple strake reducer to the rear bumper both finished with a sporty red accent line. It also includes LED headlights, front fog lamps, side sill skirts, a tailgate spoiler and gloss-black 185/55 R16 alloy wheels. The interior features a unique pinstripe pattern on the upholstery and a leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, all of which are enhanced by orange stitching with extra shine.

     The Honda Jazz includes amazing cruise control, automatic headlights and the advanced brake active safety system. The important other features are a 7 inch Honda Connect infotainment system, rear view parking camera, key less entry and start, as well as advanced safety technologies such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Traffic Sign Recognition.

    The new look Honda Jazz will be available to order from November across Europe, with deliveries starting in early 2018. Its launching in India is not yet decided. It will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and the Volkswagen Polo.

No Renewal of Insurance is Possible With Valid Pollution Under Control Certificate

   

     The vehicle owners must strictly follow all the rules stated by the motor vehicle department of the concerned states. In a milestone statement today the Supreme Court announces a remarkable statement that the vehicle insurance may not be renewed with out proper pollution under control  certificate.Also some other notifications may issued regarding this. This will be considered as a great step to protect the air from vehicle pollution.

     Regarding the order the Supreme Court has issued a directive that says insurance of a vehicle will not be renewed unless the owner provides pollution under control (PUC) certificate. The bench headed by Justice Madan B.Lokur given all these directions to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.  This statements compel the authorities to ensure that all fuel refilling centres in the country may havepollution under control (PUC) certificate issuing centres.

     The apex court allowed a time limit of one month to the Center to ensure that there are functional PUC centres in the contry to ensure that all the vehicles  have PUC certificate. In the sitting of the bench the court considered the suggestions provided by The Environment Pollution Control Authority(EPCA) of India.The bench was hearing a petition filed by environmentalist M.C.Mehta way back in 1985 dealing with various aspects of pollution.

The New Generation Maruti Suzuki Alto is Ready to Strike

    

      The Maruti Suzuki has decided to launch its best seller car Alto in new design. The testing of new Maruti Alto 2018 has started in India. The company  will try to make a new hatch back trend through this  the new generation in India. The new Alto 2018 will be bigger, spacious, powerful, fuel efficient and a lot more feature loaded too as compared to the previous model. Maruti is working on a new project called Y1K, this will make the new Alto look like a crossover.

     Maruti Alto or the 800 has generally had a product life cycle of about 10 years in Indian car market, but this time it is about five years as the new crash norms and new emission norms are being implemented time to time by the authorities. The new Alto will be a lot lighter than the current generation by at least 60 kilograms, which is about 10 percent reduction.

     The design of the new model was not totally different , but it will be built on an all new platform. The strong points of the Alto will be retained on this new generation as well. Maruti Suzuki has invested about $1 billion as they will be launching 15 new products by 2020. These will be based on three platforms. The new platforms will meet the crash norms and even. The Alto expects to have a touch screen system with maps and even with Bluetooth connectivity.

    The new generation Alto will get a new 658cc engine that will come in two states one producing about 53bhp and the turbo version will produce about 62bhp. There will also a VVT (variable valve timing) version of this engine. These will be implemented for the emission norms and even better fuel efficiency. The Alto will have ARAI fuel efficiency in excess of 32km/l. So, the Alto K10 engine will be replaced by the turbo engine and the regular 796cc by 658cc. Chinese Companies Looks Indian Auto Market With Hope

      

    Since there are some controversies among India and the neighbor China in the sharing of border, the Chinese automobile companies were planning to establish their business in Indian Markets. Indian government already conducted two seminars focused on the automobile sector as a part of its Make in India program in two Chinese cities.

     The companies expected an investment of $51 billion in the country and thus India is trying to access Chinese FDI, curb imports and boost local production. The response to the Make in India seminar has direct reflections. At the time of conducting the seminars Chinese automobile companies sent over 180 representatives to participate in those seminars.

     In the financial year   $ 278 million Chinese FDI entered in India and 60% was in the automobile sector. SAIC Motor Corp, which first looked at India in 2010 through a partnership with General Motors (GM) but exited prematurely will expected its re entry. Growing up in the shadows of global MNCs like Volkswagen and GM, Chinese automakers are finally now breaking free and thinking big.

     China becomes the largest car market in the world by selling nearly 28 million cars in 2016, compelled global MNCs to operate only through 50:50 joint ventures with local Chinese firms. This government policy has helped local Chinese firms gain knowledge and build technology to eventually stand on their own feet and launch their own portfolio of cars.

     The Indian passenger vehicle market is found as one of the fastest growing by over 9% in 2016-17 and is projected to be the world’s third largest car market by 2020, so it’s clear why the Chinese companies approach Indian Markets.

     Since brand reputation and credibility are important in Indian Markets, Chinese products do suffer from a traditional poor quality consumer perception.Besides, India isn’t an easy country to crack for other countries. Chinese automaker Beiqi Foton must have learnt it firsthand. The company announced its plans to expand into India in 2011 and bought 250 acres in Maharashtra to set up its plant. It planned to acquire another 1,250 acres to build an industrial park for suppliers. It has since run into a wave of resistance. Six years later, its plans are still hanging fire. While it remains committed to building its India operations, it has shifted focus from commercial vehicles to passenger vehicles. The competition from dragon country can’t be underestimated though.

     The Indian government has announced it wants India to go all electric by 2030. The electric vehicle push will give Chinese companies an upper hand.China is today the world’s largest electric vehicle market, having sold 3.52 lakh units on the back of a government policy push and generous subsidies. By 2020, the Chinese government wants 11% of its domestic sales to come from electric vehicles.

The New Yamaha Fazer 250 Will Launch Soon

New Honda Civic is Expected to Launch Soon

     One of the biggest car maker in the world , Honda is planning to launch the tenth generation of Honda Civic in India in beginning of next year. These new Segment sedan will be manufactured at HCIL’s Greater Noida factory  and will priced in between Rs. 15 to 20 lakh from base model to full option. Honda introduced the eighth generation Civic  in 2006. The sedan became an instant hit receiving over 4000 bookings within a month after its launch. The petrol engine will be the latest iteration of the R18 family displacing 1,799 cc.The diesel model is expected to having a 1.6 L iDTEC diesel  engine, a  power of 121 PS , Torque of 300 Nm, a transmission of 6 speed Manual and its’ expected mileage is 18-19 Km/L.

     The 2017 Honda Civic uses an all new modular platform that makes it 30 kg lighter and improves torsional rigidity by 25%. The usage of high strength steel is up to 12%, a 1% increase over the previous model.Honda says that  the tenth generation model is the most wonderful remake of previous Civic. Designers have given the car a fastback style tail along with low and wide proportions in the full body.The low and wide proportions, with the wheels pushed to the utmost corners, emphasize the Civic’s dynamic handling prowess and give the car a crouched and muscular look, like a tiger ready to jump,reported by the officials.

     The new Civic have a new “Flying H” grille design flanked by optional LED headlamps that feature hockey stick shaped LED daytime running lamps, which are all signature Honda design elements. Its side profile features a swage line which bisects front and rear door handles ultimately culminating in the C shape LED rear lights. The upcoming new model Honda Civic is 30 mm wider, 136 mm longer and sits 20 mm lower than the old model of Civic.It gets a 7 inch TFT LCD Driver Information Interface (DII) display that includes a digital tachometer and digital speedometer. It also houses a high res MID that can display info like navigation, SMS, email, music info and so on. The centre console houses a 7 inch Honda Connect 2 touchscreen. For India, expect Honda to offer the Civic with their DIGIPAD infotainment unit that is found on the City and WRV. The total volume of the cabin is up by 105 L with additional 50 mm legroom as compared to the ninth generation Civic.

     While we are looking into the exterior it has an in line full LED headlamps, hockey stick shaped LED DRLs, 16 inch alloy wheels and C shaped LED tail lights.In the interior designing segment there is an automatic clmate control system, 7 inch touch screen, Apple Carplay and Android auto support functionalities, 7 inch TFT LCD Driver Information Interface, Digital tachometer and digital speedometer, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control system, sunroof output, reverse parking camera, electrically adjustable ORVMs with electric fold function.

     The new Civic has some more embedded seafety features than the earlier model . It has 5 star safety rating, 2 to 6 airbags, it holds ABS with EBD, has ISOFIX child seat anchorage points also it has intensive ultra high strength steel in the body..
