The Porsche car owner pays rupees 27 lakh penalty to the traffic police

   

     The owner of a Porsche 911 sports car, which worth around rupees 2 crore, paid rupees 27.68 lakh towards pending taxes with interest and penalty to get back his vehicle that was impounded for lack of valid documents and for being run in the state without registration since 2017 onwards.

  After paying the money to the Ahmedabad Regional Transport Office (RTO), the car owner Ranjit Desai took back his impounded car from the city traffic police  station on last day after producing the RTO payment receipt. The car has been detained by the police from November 2019.

    Ahmedabad Traffic Police shared the photo of the RTO receipt on its Twitter handle and claimed that the fine of rupees 27.68 lakh was the highest ever in India. RTO slaps a fine of total rupees 27.68 Lakh on Porsche Car which was detained during a routine check by Ahmedabad Traffic West Police for not having required documents. These amount was one of the highest fine amount levied in the country ever.

     As per the receipt, the car owner paid rupees 16 lakh towards motor vehicle tax, rupees 7.68 lakh as interest on that unpaid tax and rupees 4 lakh as penalty.

     This car was imported in 2017. Though the owner had initially registered the vehicle in Haryana, the number plates were missing when the car was impounded. Since the car is now in Gujarat, the RTO calculated the life time tax, interest on unpaid tax and penalty at rupees 7.68 lakh. The owner took back his car on last day after showing the receipt.

RRB announced the shedules for major examinations.Share it !!!

     The Indian Railway Recruitment Board or RRB has released more examination details of candidates whose RRB Group exam date, admit card and other details have not been released online. The RRBs have now released examination information for candidates whose exam shifts have been scheduled till 2018 October 26. 

     An update available on RRB website on RRB Group D exam also said the next schedule of exam city and date intimation for the exam starting from October 29, 2018 will be made live on 2018 October 18. The Board have uploaded RRB Group D admit card for the exams scheduled till next five days from today. The applicants have also been sent exam date and shift details to the registered contact numbers.

     The RRB Group D exams for the recruitment of more than 63000 posts of Level 1 like Track Maintainers, Assistant Pointsmen and other works are conducted in various shifts in exam centres spread across the country. Including the RRB Group D recruitment, RRBs and other recruitment agencies of India's largest employer are currently engaged in the recruitment process of more than 1.3 lakh posts in various departments across India.

B = April to June

C= July to September

D = October to December.

    The number would represent the year in which cylinder would expire. Suppose D 20 means the Cylinder could expire in October to December in the year 2020.

Kannur University invited application for degree courses.Share for dear ones

     The Kannur University has invited fresh applications from students who completed plus two course Under Graduate Degree Programmes under Choice Based Credit and Semester (CBCS) system in Government, Aided  and Self Financing Affiliated Colleges for the academic year 2018-2019.

       The University will not planning to  conduct online centralized allotment for the following Degree Programmes Courses. The candidates who are willing to apply for the same need to be apply directly to the colleges providing such courses.

      All programmes for which Entrance Test and Aptitude tests where conducted for admissions like B.P.Ed, B.A.Music(Karnatic), B.A. Bharathanatyam. Also B.A. Afsal-Ul-Ulama course is not included under the CAP for the time being. Students applying for B.Com. with Computer Application programme at the Marthoma College for the Hearing Impaired, Kasaragod is exempted from the CAP. They should directly contact the college for admission with relevant certificates.

     Candidates seeking admission on passing Save a year examination during the current Academic Year may register online before the Supplementary allotment. They will be considered in the supplementary allotment. The maximum age limit for admission to the UG programme shall be 23 years as on 1st June of the academic year. For SC/ST candidates, the age limit is 25 years and differently abled candidates it is 28 years.

      The Physical Education Department of the colleges will prepare a rank list as per the University norms. The rank list should be published in the college notice board for the referance of the students redressal before a minimum of three days for the final publication of the rank list. The final list shall be forwarded to the University for approval and admissions will be made after obtaining the approval of the University. Passengers don’t need to carry ticket for Indian Railways journey

  

    There is a happy news for railway passengers in which the passengers can now get a printout or hard copy of your Indian Railways train ticket and IRCTC now sends you SMS-based tickets that can be shown to the TTE during the travel. These SMS tickets from IRCTC are sent to the ticket holder after the passenger successfully books a ticket from the IRCTC website or IRCTC Rail Connect App.

    When you are required to carry a physical copy of your Indian Railways train ticket. IRCTC has a simple mobile solution. Instead of carrying a printout or hard copy of your Indian Railways train ticket, IRCTC now sends you SMS-based tickets that can be shown to the TTE. This SMS ticket has all details such as PNR number, the name of the ticket holder, seat number and the status of the ticket whether it is confirmed or wait-listed. These SMS tickets from IRCTC are sent to the ticket holder after the traveller successfully books a ticket from the IRCTC website or IRCTC Rail Connect App.

     The passenger can simply log on to the official website of IRCTC by using the traveller's name and password inprder to book train tickets. After login, a ‘Plan my travel’ page appears on the screen. The passenger can then select ‘To’ and ‘From’ stations and the ‘e-ticket’ option. Then in order to find the train list, the passenger can click on the ‘Submit’ option. The list displays the number of trains, which are available for that route.

      In case the passenger wants to know the route and the timings of any particular train he/she can click on the train name under the ‘List of Trains’ option. Then in order to get the fare, the passenger can click on class available in the selected train under ‘List of Trains’ option, which will show fare according to the type of class selected. Then the passenger can select the train by clicking on the type of class available on the selected train. By clicking on the class section, it will show the train details with availability. The passenger can then book the train ticket by clicking on ‘Book Now’ under availability option.

       Whether the passenger wishes to select another train then he/she can click on ‘Reset’ button. Following this, the ticket reservation page appears. The passenger, after checking the names of the train and stations, can enter the names of the passengers, age, sex and berth preference. After this, the payment option appears along with the ticket details and the passenger can make the payment by choosing a desired mode of payment.

SSC CGL 2018 notification out

    The official notification for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2018 examination has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on the ir official website. Job aspirants can visit the site ssc.nic.in for more details. All those who are interested in applying for the same can do so at the website only. The Tier I exams will be held from July 25 to August 20. The application must be submitted through online mode only. Candidates can submit the online application only till June 4.

    Once the Tier 1 exam results are out, selected candidates will be called for  Tier-II exam and the dates for which will be notified later. Yearly SSC has conducted the CGL examination to fill various posts across the country. The students have to appear in all the four phases of the examination (Tier- 1 to 4) to get a job in the commission.

     The Jobs under SSC will be filled in the following departments:

Tier 1: It will be an online exam which will have 25 questions of 50 marks each for general intelligence,reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English comprehension. Candidates will have an hour to answer the questions to score a maximum of 200 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer.

Tier 2: It will contain questions related to Quantitative Abilities, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies. The candidates will have two hours to score a total of 800 marks ie,200 per section. There will be negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer in all sections except English which will have a negative marking of 0.25.

Tier 3: It will be a descriptive language paper in Hindi or English in which candidates will have an hour to write essays, letters and long pieces for 100 marks.

Tier 4: It will be a skill test.

WhatsApp now lets users to open chat even without using the app

   The social media giant  WhatsApp has been introducing different advanced features to make lives easy for 1.5 billion of its active users. Now, the Facebook owned app has registered a new domain wa.me. In a report published on WAbeta Info, the domain is a short link of the api.whatsapp.com and we can use it for quickly open a chat in WhatsApp.This feature is available now for beta users and for users to enjoy the new update, they will need to update their app to Android version 2.18.138.

Users need to type https://wa.me/(phone number) of the person they want to drop the text to. They will automatically be directed to the chat. For an example if phone number you need to chat is +91 9388939394 then type https://wa.me/919388939394 and it shows a message as given below.

     If you try to open a chat with an incorrect WhatsApp phone number, the instant messaging app will notify you as ‘phone number shared via url is invalid’.

     WhatsApp recently rolled out sticker album for its Beta Users. The sticker feature is not yet made available to the users for development reasons, it will be enabled in the next releases, according to a report by WAbeta Info. The report says that WhatsApp is currently working to improve the Sticker feature before the release. The new feature groups two stickers in a row. The feature is very useful because it will help users save space in the chat if he/she sends more than one sticker.

      Also Whats app updated its ‘Terms of Service and Privacy Policy’ ahead of General Data Protection Regulation that came into effect in Europe on May 25. New Method for booking Train Tickets has been started by IRCTC

    The latest updation in e-ticketing system of Railways department , Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), has launched a new method for booking rail tickets.

      As per the update  IRCTC e-wallet users can book rail tickets through its mobile app IRCTC Rail Connect. Payments can be done as the  other wallets including Paytm or Mobikwik processing. IRCTC e-wallet users can also recharge their wallet and use the amount at the time of booking rail tickets.

     Passengers can use the e-wallet facility by registering themselves on the IRCTC website. A user can keep six banks on his preference list. IRCTC e-wallet is among the many payment e-wallet options available on its website as well as mobile app.

     IRCTC Rail Connect app also provides the cab booking facility. IRCTC has tied up with Ola to make commuting easy for rail travellers. IRCTC also introduced a system that helps the rail passengers to order food through IRCTC Food on Track app. 

    Passengers can book food through the Android app using their PNR number. The app allows users to pay online and offline mode through credit card, debit card, internet banking or cash on delivery.

     In addition to this the Railways has also launched no bill, free food policy. Under the new policy, if vendor doesn't provide a bill for food and beverages purchased on trains, the passenger can avail the food for free.

Kerala police to set up Project ‘AFIS’ to identify criminals

     As a milestone in the searching of criminal background of persons taken into custody will get easier than before. The home department is planning to set up an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) connecting all police stations in the state. When the system is implemented, the earlier custom of bringing the criminals to the fingerprint bureau to take the fingerprint using ink will be replaced. In future, the information of criminals can be exchanged at national level cooperating with the union home ministry.

     As per the new system, details of about 1.5 lakh criminals have been collected in the police headquarters. Crime DIG K. Sethuraman told Mathrubhumi that a 24-hour high resolution fingerprint scanner and server are arranged for AFIS. The programme is implemented with the cooperation of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

     This system will be available in all 500 police stations in the state. In the first phase, the system will be implemented in 80 stations near the courts. Data collection of the criminals have been complete through State Crime Records Bureau. The latest foreign made scanners are provided to the state police by a private firm, which is one of the five companies in the world approved by US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

     While we are trying to understand what does the AFIS means, AFIS is a system that connects all the 20 fingerprint bureaus in the state. When a person under police custody presses his/her finger on the mini scanner in police station, the details such as the crime history of the person, the previous cases, the stations where the case is registered etc. will appear on the display of the scanner. This will help to hasten the investigation. The fingerprints of criminals to be arrested in future will also be collected in the system.

Reliance Jio is planning to recruit 75000 people

     The telecom giant Reliance Jio is planning to recruit about 75,000 to 80000 people during this financial year. About 157000 people are on the road in these days and another 75000 to 80000 people were needed for the company for working.This was revealed by Jio's Chief Human Resources Officer Sanjay Jog last day in a function.

     Jog was replying to question on how many new recruitments would be made by the company during this financial year.It was about 32 per cent in the sales and technical areas related to constructions sites.If it is taken at the headquarter level, it is just 2 per cent.

     Jog also said that the company was having a partnership with about 6000 colleges, including technical institutions across the country. According to him, there are some embedded courses offered in these institutions and students who clear these are considered as Reliance ready. He also said that hiring would also be done through referrals and now with the help of social media platforms. Recruitments through referrals now accounted for about 60 per cent to 70 per cent of the hiring.

Whatsapp Is ready to publish their five new updates

     WhatsApp has become the world’s most popular messaging app. In recent weeks, WhatsApp has added many features and updates to make the messaging app more useful for users. From “Request Money feature” to “how to stop sharing data with Facebook”, these are the five latest updates to make your life easier and more tech-savvy.

1. WhatsApp has rolled out the dismiss as admin feature for iOS and Android users. According to a report on WAbeta Info, the feature is available as Android version 2.18.116 and iOS version 2.18.41. The new option – dismiss as admin – allows an administrator to dismiss another one without removing him from the group.

2. WhatsApp’s another new update allows the users to lock audio recordings on Android devices. To get to the locked audio recordings feature, you will have to tap and hold the “mic” icon in the chat. The option of a ‘lock’ will appear after 0.5 seconds. After you make a note of the ‘lock microphone button’ you should be able to slide your finger up to start the lock recording. If you have locked the audio recording, WhatsApp will allow you to navigate the chat with you not holding the microphone button.

3. The instant messaging app has finally introduced its payment feature for beta users. The new feature, which will let users Request Money from their friends, contacts. The feature is currently rolling out on WhatsApp beta for Android v2.18.113 in India. To request money from someone via WhatsApp Pay, the users need to go to Settings, followed by a tap on Payments and then New Payments. After that, the user needs to either choose the UPI ID or the Scan QR code option. An option saying Request Money will now pop-up, besides the Send Money option.

4. After the recent row over Facebook and Cambridge Analytica, WhatsApp came up with a security update to avoid sharing your data with Facebook. The messaging app introduced two steps to feel safe and continue using the app. Firstly, you need tap on the account section on WhatsApp settings. The last option will be able to see is where you need to tap the check mark to the right of Share my account info. To disable the feature, tap Don’t Share.

Secondly, while installing the app, you will get an option where you will be asked to ‘Agree’ to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. However, this the point where you need to tap on ‘read more’. After you do that, you will need to find the option which needs to be unchecked if you do not want to share your WhatsApp data with Facebook. Once you do that, your account will be safe and your personal information will not be shared with Facebook.

5. WhatsApp has a solution now for those who have deleted downloaded files. When a user has downloaded the media, the file automatically would get deleted from WhatsApp server. WhatsApp has modified this with the new update. Now, WhatsApp doesn’t delete the files from its server even after the former is downloaded by users. This allows the users to download the media file again even if the files have been deleted.

Central Government of India Plans To Link Driving Licence To Aadhaar Card

    In a remarkable decision taken by the Central Government of India the primary document for the native citizen, Aadhar will need to be linked with driving license of the persons whom it belongs. This new decision was announced officially by the Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday.
 The time limit for the Aadhar linking will be announced later. The minister didn't mention any time limit to link the unique identification number with driving license in his announcement.
 
     

     The new rule will come in the situation when the Supreme Court has yet to rule on whether Aadhar violates the privacy of nation’s individual. There are many talks taken place among the people regarding the factor that whether the right for privacy is fundamental or not. As per the reports the Government is planning to link driving license to Aadhaar as declared whatever conflicts will be happen may faced. 

     Through this the Government is looking for making it possible to enable digital identity confirms physical identity with the help of digital technology. As per the request by the Central Government the Supreme Court will extend the deadline for mandatory Aadhaar to avail social benefits to December 31 from the early declared September 30.

Adobe Is Ready To Implement Gender Equality

     

     The famous and biggest software company in US, Adobe Systems Incorporated in a milestone step taken last day announced that they are ready equalize the wages of men and women belonging to the company and planned to end the gender gap in salary drawn to employees of the company mainly in the countries like the US and India by the end of this year 2017. As per the reports the company is aimed to promote diversity and inclusion in the job field.

   This innovative decision was officially declared by the company in the annual Adobe - Women and Leadership Summit held in San Jose city.

     The company Adobe Systems Incorporated announced that they are fully planned to stop the gender wage gap in the US as soon as possible especially in US by the end of its fiscal year in such a condition that women get paid USD 1.00 for every USD 1.00 that was earned by the man. An official of the company says that also there is no wage gap between white and non white employees in US which was announced in the last year.

     As per the company reports Indian female employees belonging to the company was paid mostly 99 percent equal amount for the same job as the male got and the company will reduce the one percent through this new project.

     As per the company it is not fair to pay and equal consideration has a significant positive impact on the business bottom line. The company is planning to become a zero gender inequality firm in future globally. Adobe's US and India employee populations combined comprise 80 per cent of the company's global workforce.
