The
car maker giant in the world Toyota Kirloskar Motor has
launched the Etios Cross X
Edition with a starting price of Rs 6.80 lakh, ex showroom at Kolkata for the G
trim based petrol engine version. The Etios is also available in the V trim
based diesel option for Rs 8.23 lakh, ex showroom at Kolkata. The car has
officially planned to launch in some parts of India while the all India launch
has been scheduled for the next week.
The different variants of the new Toyota Etios Cross X gets cosmetic as well as feature updates and costs around Rs 33,000 over and above their different trims.
The new edition also equipped with a new quartz brown paint, black front grille and fog lamp bezels.

The 'X-Edition' badges and body colored
cladding. The interior updates include a carbon fiber finish to the instrument
panel and new dual tone in the upholstery system. The car also has a 6.8 inch
touch screen infotainment system with mobile compatibility and a fine reverse
parking camera.
If we look in to the engine side there is no mechanical
change in the car as compared to the previous model and the Etios Cross X
continues to run on the same engine features as the earlier variants. The
petrol version gets the 80PS Power and104Nm torque, 1.2-litre engine with a 5 speed
manual and claims to return a fuel efficiency of 17.71kmpl. The diesel variant
offers 68PS/170Nm from a 1.4-litre oil burner and claims 23.59kmpl.
The new model has standard safety features of the model are dual front SRS airbags, ABS with EBD
and front seat belt with pre tensioner and force limiter.
The Toyota Etios Cross competes with the similar
variants of the model like Hyundai i20 Active, Volkswagen Cross Polo and the Honda WR-V.
